589.2 trillion. That is how many SHIB are in circulation, per CoinGecko, and it turns every Shiba Inu price target into a market cap target, since market cap is simply the price times the number of coins, what all SHIB together is worth. At about $0.0000047 (checked 1 November 2026), SHIB's market cap is roughly $2.77 billion, and the price is 94.5% below its October 2021 peak. The short answer from our scenario math is that the middle (base) case for the end of 2030 is $0.0000038 to $0.0000084, or $3.80 to $8.40 per million SHIB, from a little below today's price to nearly twice it. The optimistic (bull) case reaches $0.000031 to $0.000069, about seven to 15 times today, and it needs two things at once, a strong Bitcoin bull market and SHIB's market cap climbing from about 0.18% of Bitcoin's today back to 0.5% to 0.9%, levels it last held between December 2024 and February 2025.
The popular targets of one cent and $1 fail on arithmetic before they fail on sentiment. One cent times 589.2 trillion coins is a market cap of about $5.9 trillion, more than twice the entire crypto market today, and burning coins will not close that gap. Many SHIB forecast pages print a 2030 number without the market cap behind it. Below is where SHIB stands, what the supply and burn data show, a fair hearing for the bull case, and year-by-year ranges built from inputs you can check and argue with. They are bounds for thinking, not forecasts of exact prices.
Shiba Inu price prediction at a glance
Bear is the gloomy scenario, base the middle one and bull the optimistic one. Prices are for one SHIB at year end.
| Year end | Bear | Base | Bull |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | $0.0000027 to $0.0000036 | $0.0000039 to $0.0000061 | $0.0000071 to $0.0000100 |
| 2027 | $0.0000015 to $0.0000027 | $0.0000039 to $0.0000069 | $0.000012 to $0.000024 |
| 2028 | $0.00000095 to $0.0000024 | $0.0000037 to $0.0000081 | $0.000017 to $0.000036 |
| 2029 | $0.00000073 to $0.0000021 | $0.0000038 to $0.0000083 | $0.000026 to $0.000063 |
| 2030 | $0.00000070 to $0.0000024 | $0.0000038 to $0.0000084 | $0.000031 to $0.000069 |
The same ranges as the dollar value of one million SHIB, about $4.70 today, are easier to compare.
| Year end | Bear | Base | Bull |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | $2.70 to $3.60 | $3.90 to $6.10 | $7.10 to $10 |
| 2027 | $1.50 to $2.70 | $3.90 to $6.90 | $12 to $24 |
| 2028 | $0.95 to $2.40 | $3.70 to $8.10 | $17 to $36 |
| 2029 | $0.73 to $2.10 | $3.80 to $8.30 | $26 to $63 |
| 2030 | $0.70 to $2.40 | $3.80 to $8.40 | $31 to $69 |
Each range comes from two inputs. The first is Bitcoin's price, because Bitcoin leads the crypto market and SHIB has tended to rise and fall with it, usually harder. The second is how big SHIB is next to Bitcoin. Today Bitcoin's market cap is about $1.57 trillion and SHIB's about $2.77 billion, so SHIB is worth about 0.18% of Bitcoin, calculated from market cap estimates by the data firm Coin Metrics. Divide that $2.77 billion by 589.2 trillion coins and you get today's price of about $0.0000047. Every scenario changes those two inputs and runs the same sum, and every year below states both inputs and the market cap they imply, so you can swap in your own.
Shiba Inu in November 2026 (where things stand)
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current price | ~$0.0000047 ($4.70 per million SHIB) |
| Market cap | ~$2.77 billion, rank 37 among cryptocurrencies |
| All-time high | $0.00008616 (27 October 2021) |
| Distance from all-time high | ~94.5% below |
| 30-day move | Down ~20% |
| 12-month move | Down ~54% |
| 2026 low | ~$0.0000041 (mid-July) |
| Circulating supply | ~589.24 trillion SHIB |
| Burned to date | ~410.5 trillion of the original 1 quadrillion |
| SHIB market cap as a share of Bitcoin's | ~0.18% |
Market data from CoinGecko, checked 1 November 2026, burn totals from the SHIB contract on Ethereum, share of Bitcoin from Coin Metrics. CoinGecko's circulating count leaves out about 0.26 trillion SHIB beyond those burned, so the two rows do not add to exactly 1 quadrillion.
For context, Dogecoin's market cap is about $11.9 billion on the same CoinGecko reading, and Pepe's, a meme coin launched in 2023, about $2.1 billion. SHIB, which passed Dogecoin in October 2021, now sits between the two, much nearer Pepe.
The supply math most forecasts skip
SHIB launched with 1 quadrillion tokens, a thousand trillion. Half of them were sent to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, who in May 2021 burned 410 trillion, then worth about $6.7 billion, by sending them to an address nobody controls so they can never be spent again. He gave much of the rest to charity. What is left in circulation is about 589.2 trillion SHIB, and no new coins are being created, since SHIB has no mining and no scheduled release of team coins. So every price is a market cap divided by 589.2 trillion, and the market cap is the part you have to believe in.
| SHIB price | Implied market cap | For comparison |
|---|---|---|
| $0.00001 | $5.9 billion | About 2 times today, half of Dogecoin's market cap |
| $0.00008616 (the 2021 high) | $50.8 billion | About 18 times today |
| $0.0001 | $58.9 billion | About 21 times today, about 5 times Dogecoin |
| $0.001 | $589 billion | More than twice Ethereum's $277 billion |
| $0.01 (one cent) | $5.9 trillion | 2.3 times the whole crypto market, 3.8 times Bitcoin |
| $1 | $589 trillion | About 5 times world GDP |
Market caps from CoinGecko, checked 1 November 2026, when the total crypto market was about $2.61 trillion and Bitcoin about $1.57 trillion. World GDP was about $118 trillion in 2025 per the World Bank.
The first row sits just above the 2030 base case and below every bull range after 2026, while the third needs SHIB worth more than at any point in its history. The last two rows are not forecasts at all, since each needs SHIB alone to be worth more than the whole crypto market today, and even $0.001 would need SHIB worth more than twice Ethereum.
Shiba Inu burns by the numbers
The usual answer to the table above is that burns will shrink the supply. In five and a half years since the Buterin burn, everyone else combined has burned about 234 billion SHIB, roughly 0.04% of the circulating supply. We checked how many SHIB sit in the burn addresses, plus the coins removed from the contract's own supply, about once a year, reading the numbers straight from the Ethereum blockchain, where SHIB lives.
| Date | Total SHIB burned | Burned in the prior year |
|---|---|---|
| 18 May 2021 (after the Buterin burn) | 410.270 trillion | n/a |
| 22 October 2022 | 410.382 trillion | ~112 billion (17 months) |
| 25 October 2023 | 410.420 trillion | ~38 billion |
| 27 October 2024 | 410.482 trillion | ~62 billion |
| 30 October 2025 | 410.499 trillion | ~17.5 billion |
| 1 November 2026 | 410.504 trillion | ~5.1 billion |
Read from the Ethereum blockchain via a public node, 1 November 2026.
The pace is also falling. The last twelve months removed about 5.1 billion SHIB, worth roughly $24,000 at today's price. At that rate, burning just 1% of the supply would take about 1,150 years, and halving it, which on its own would double the price at a constant market cap, would take around 58,000 years.
At today's $2.77 billion market cap, one cent per coin would need the supply cut to about 277 billion SHIB, so 99.95% of what circulates would have to be destroyed. At the current pace that is a job of more than 100,000 years. Burns are a real community effort, but at this scale they are a rounding error on supply. SHIB's price depends on demand, and nothing else in the model comes close.
Shibarium and the ecosystem
Shibarium, a cheaper side network built on top of Ethereum for SHIB and its sister tokens BONE, LEASH and TREAT, went live in August 2023 as a home for finance and gaming apps. Three years on, almost nobody uses it. DefiLlama counts about $44,000 deposited in its apps today, down from a peak of about $6.4 million in December 2024, and about $2,500 of trading on its exchanges over the last 30 days. ShibaSwap, the ecosystem's original exchange, holds about $5.5 million of deposits, against about $1.76 billion in July 2021.
In September 2025 an attacker used a flash loan, money borrowed and repaid inside a single transaction, to buy 4.6 million BONE, took control of most of the validator votes that secure Shibarium and drained its bridge, where coins moved onto the network are held. Losses were near $3 million per CoinDesk's reading of the transaction data. The team paused staking and moved the remaining funds into a multisig wallet, which needs several keyholders to sign.
Our 2026 boom analysis found that usage alone does not guarantee a token gains. The reverse is starker, since a token whose ecosystem has almost no usage has to rely entirely on attention. For SHIB, that attention shows up in one number, its share of Bitcoin's market cap.
SHIB against Bitcoin, the share that decides the price
With supply fixed and usage thin, the useful question is how much money SHIB holds onto as the market moves, and the cleanest measure is its market cap as a share of Bitcoin's. On Coin Metrics data that share was about 2.1% at the end of 2021, 0.67% at the end of 2024 and 0.23% at the end of 2025, and it stands at about 0.18% now. It has ended every calendar year since then lower than the last, and on average it has lost about 40% of its size each year since the end of 2021. Our Litecoin forecast found the same pattern of an older coin steadily losing ground against Bitcoin, and used the same method and the same Bitcoin prices.
The amount of SHIB traded each day on the exchanges Coin Metrics tracks fell from about $532 million on average in 2024 to about $26 million over the last 30 days. Pepe now trades about six times as much and Dogecoin about eight times, which suggests where meme coin trading has moved.
The share does not only fall, though. In the early 2024 rally it jumped from about 0.55% in late February to 1.64% in early March, the peak of a run in which SHIB's price roughly quadrupled from 23 January to 4 March. Those bursts are the whole bull case, and the question for every scenario below is whether the next one starts from 0.18% or lower.
What the bull case gets right
SHIB has done the impossible-looking thing before. Between 20 July and 27 October 2021 its daily close went from about $0.0000059 to about $0.000082, roughly 14 times in 14 weeks, and on 27 October SHIB's market cap passed Dogecoin's on Coin Metrics estimates. In early 2024 it quadrupled in six weeks. Both runs came inside broad Bitcoin rallies, which took BTC from about $30,000 to $59,000 in the first window and from about $40,000 to $68,000 in the second, and SHIB multiplied the move several times over. That habit of multiplying Bitcoin's moves when small investors pile in is the core of the bull case, and it is why the timing of Bitcoin's own cycle, mapped in our Bitcoin cycle guide, matters so much for SHIB.
The structure has also improved in ways the 2021 run did not have. In March 2026 the SEC, the main US markets regulator, named Shiba Inu among its examples of digital commodities in a joint interpretive release with the CFTC, which eases the question of whether SHIB counts as a security, a label that complicates trading for many tokens. T. Rowe Price, a large US fund manager, listed SHIB among the eligible assets of its Active Crypto ETF (TKNZ) in a July 2026 SEC filing, a possible route for US fund money, though eligible is not the same as held. SHIB has more than 100 trading pairs tracked by CoinGecko, across most of the large exchanges, so buyers and sellers are there if attention returns. And no big batches of new coins are waiting to reach the market, unlike many newer tokens.
Finally, the starting point is cheap by SHIB's own history. A return to 0.67% of Bitcoin's market cap, where it ended 2024 less than two years ago, would by itself almost quadruple the price at today's Bitcoin level. The bull case does not need SHIB to beat Bitcoin forever, only for one cycle, and that is what the bull column prices.
Shiba Inu price prediction 2026 (the last two months)
Each range below is a year-end level. The market cap is Bitcoin's market cap times SHIB's share, using a Bitcoin supply of about 20.1 million coins, which turns a Bitcoin price into Bitcoin's market cap, rising to about 20.6 million by 2030. SHIB's supply stays at 589.2 trillion throughout. With two months left, SHIB is 20% down on the month and sits close to its July low.
| Scenario | Range at year end 2026 | Implied market cap | Inputs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $0.0000071 to $0.0000100 | $4.2B to $5.9B | BTC $95K to $105K, SHIB share back to 0.22% to 0.28%, near its February 2026 high of 0.30% |
| Base | $0.0000039 to $0.0000061 | $2.3B to $3.6B | BTC $72K to $90K, share 0.16% to 0.20%, close to today |
| Bear | $0.0000027 to $0.0000036 | $1.6B to $2.1B | BTC $60K to $70K, share slips to 0.13% to 0.15%, a new low below July's |
The bull row needs SHIB to gain roughly 50% to 110% in about nine weeks. That is a lot, but SHIB has done more in less.
Shiba Inu price prediction 2027
| Scenario | Range at year end 2027 | Implied market cap | Inputs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $0.000012 to $0.000024 | $7.1B to $14.0B | Meme rotation in a strong year, BTC $100K to $125K, share recovers to 0.35% to 0.55%, between its end 2025 and end 2024 levels |
| Base | $0.0000039 to $0.0000069 | $2.3B to $4.1B | BTC $80K to $100K, share 0.14% to 0.20%, roughly flat to a slow drift lower |
| Bear | $0.0000015 to $0.0000027 | $0.89B to $1.6B | BTC $55K to $70K, share falls to 0.08% to 0.11%, near its recent pace of decline |
Shiba Inu price prediction 2028
Bitcoin's next halving, the scheduled cut in how many new bitcoins are created, is due in 2028, and in past cycles its biggest gains came in the year or so after a halving.
| Scenario | Range at year end 2028 | Implied market cap | Inputs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $0.000017 to $0.000036 | $9.8B to $21.4B | BTC $120K to $150K, share 0.40% to 0.70%, back near where it ended 2024 |
| Base | $0.0000037 to $0.0000081 | $2.2B to $4.8B | BTC $90K to $130K, share 0.12% to 0.18% |
| Bear | $0.00000095 to $0.0000024 | $0.56B to $1.4B | BTC $55K to $85K, share 0.05% to 0.08% |
Shiba Inu price prediction 2029
If Bitcoin keeps its four-year rhythm, 2029 is where its next cycle peak would most likely land, and with it the window for a meme coin run.
| Scenario | Range at year end 2029 | Implied market cap | Inputs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $0.000026 to $0.000063 | $15.4B to $36.9B | Bitcoin cycle peak, BTC $150K to $200K, share 0.50% to 0.90% |
| Base | $0.0000038 to $0.0000083 | $2.3B to $4.9B | BTC $100K to $140K, share 0.11% to 0.17% |
| Bear | $0.00000073 to $0.0000021 | $0.43B to $1.2B | BTC $60K to $100K, share 0.035% to 0.06% |
Shiba Inu price prediction 2030
A new all-time high by 2030 is arithmetic before it is narrative. At 589.2 trillion coins, $0.00008616 means a market cap of about $50.8 billion, roughly 18 times today's. With Bitcoin at $220,000, the top of our bull range, that requires SHIB to be worth about 1.1% of Bitcoin, a share it last held at the end of May 2024. A full repeat of 2021, with the share back at its end 2021 level of 2.1% and Bitcoin at $180,000 to $220,000, would mean about $78 billion to $95 billion, or $0.00013 to $0.00016 per SHIB. We leave that outside the bull column because it needs SHIB to win back the meme crowd from every coin launched since.
The base case assumes SHIB keeps losing ground against Bitcoin, but slowly, at about 3% to 13% a year. That is a sharp break from the roughly 40% a year it has averaged since the end of 2021, but the decline has been lumpy, and in 2024, the last halving and rally year, the share fell only about 9%. The base assumes the years around the 2028 halving look more like 2024 than 2025, and Bitcoin's growth carries the dollar price, so SHIB ends the decade between a little below today's level and nearly twice it. If the old pace of decline simply continued, the share would be near 0.02% by 2030, and the base case's Bitcoin prices would put SHIB at about $0.000001 at most. That path sits in the lower part of the bear row, which assumes the decline continues a little slower than its historical pace.
| Scenario | Range at year end 2030 | Implied market cap | Inputs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $0.000031 to $0.000069 | $18.5B to $40.7B | BTC $180K to $220K, share holds 0.50% to 0.90% after the cycle |
| Base | $0.0000038 to $0.0000084 | $2.3B to $4.9B | BTC $110K to $150K, share settles between 0.10% and 0.16% |
| Bear | $0.00000070 to $0.0000024 | $0.41B to $1.4B | BTC $80K to $150K, share keeps falling about 28% to 37% a year, to 0.025% to 0.045% |
The bull column puts SHIB at about seven to 15 times today's price and still stops about 20% short of the 2021 high. Both the bull and base rows assume no post-peak slump, with Bitcoin higher than in 2029 and SHIB's share holding its ground. If Bitcoin instead peaks in 2029 and 2030 is a down year, as 2018 and 2022 were after earlier peaks, SHIB's record says its share gives much of the gain back, as it did in 2022 and after March 2024. In that case the 2029 bull row is the better guide to the top, and 2030 itself would land well below it.
What the forecast hinges on
Four questions decide which column happens. Does SHIB's share of Bitcoin finally stop falling, or does the next rally fade like the last two? The number to watch is SHIB's market cap divided by Bitcoin's, both on CoinGecko, about 0.18% today. Back above 0.30%, its February 2026 high, and the bull column is in play, while below about 0.15% the bear column is the one tracking. Does meme coin attention come back to SHIB, or stay with newer coins such as Pepe, which already trades about six times its volume? Does regulated access, from the SEC's commodity language to T. Rowe Price's eligible list, turn into actual fund buying? And does Bitcoin deliver the cycle every altcoin scenario quietly assumes? Treat the tables as bounds for thinking, not targets, and ask anyone promising one cent or $1 SHIB to show the market cap that gets there. This is market analysis, not financial advice.
Our AVAX forecast applies the same scenario approach to a network token with real usage, and our monthly crypto picks show which large coins the data currently favours.
Holding through the wait
A multi-year SHIB thesis means holding through swings of 50% or more in either direction. EarnPark, the platform behind this blog, pays yield on crypto deposited into what it calls strategies, each with its own rate and withdrawal terms. It does not currently offer a Shiba Inu strategy, so there is no way to earn on the SHIB itself here, and nothing in this piece is a reason to swap out of it.
What SHIB's record does shape is the cash side of a plan. Its two big runs, 14 weeks in 2021 and six weeks in 2024, add up to about five months out of more than six years of trading. Holders who take some profit into a run, or keep cash ready for the next drawdown, spend the rest of the time waiting, often in stablecoins, coins built to hold a steady one dollar. As of November 2026 EarnPark publishes up to 10% APY, a yearly rate, on USDC, from two strategies. USDC DeFi carries the Cross-Venue label, meaning it trades price gaps between several exchanges, and withdraws instantly for a fee of 0.30% plus $3.20. USDC Maker Core carries the Market-Neutral label, which describes the trades, not your deposit, and its 10% is a target rate, an objective rather than a guarantee. A withdrawal from it takes a 30-day bonding period to complete.
On BTC, the asset every scenario above leans on, the published rate is also up to 10%, set by BTC Alpha Vault. It is labelled Market-Exposed because it holds roughly half BTC and half stablecoins and rebalances, so in a strong rally it gives up part of the upside against simply holding BTC, and in a fall it loses less. Its withdrawals settle monthly, and the other BTC strategies pay less on their own terms, shown in the app. Any account gets these published rates holding zero PARK, EarnPark's own token.
Yield strategies carry their own risks. Depending on the strategy they use leverage, meaning borrowed money, or run on large centralised exchanges. None carries deposit insurance, and results can be negative. The platform's risk statement sets these out, and stablecoins themselves can lose their peg. So this applies only to money you have separately decided to place in a yield product where the platform holds your coins.
Whether you time the meme cycle or dollar-cost average through it, buying a fixed amount on a schedule, the waiting money sits somewhere. If that fits your plan, you can Start earning on the USDC or BTC side of the portfolio.
FAQ
Can Shiba Inu reach 1 cent by 2030?
Shiba Inu reaching 1 cent would mean a market cap of about $5.9 trillion at today's 589.2 trillion coins, more than twice the value of the whole crypto market in November 2026 and nearly four times Bitcoin's. Burns cannot bridge the gap, since the last year removed only about 5.1 billion SHIB. Our strongest 2030 scenario tops out near $0.000069, less than 1% of the way to one cent.
Can Shiba Inu reach $1?
Shiba Inu at $1 would be worth about $589 trillion, roughly five times the world's annual GDP. Getting there at today's market cap would take burning more than 99.999% of the supply, against a burn pace of billions of SHIB a year. None of our inputs can produce it.
Can SHIB reach 1 rupee?
SHIB at 1 Indian rupee would be about $0.0105 per coin at November 2026 exchange rates, slightly more than one US cent. That implies a market cap of roughly $6.2 trillion, about 2.4 times the entire crypto market today, so the arithmetic is the same as the one-cent question.
What about a Shiba Inu price prediction for 2040?
We do not run scenarios past 2030, because both inputs, Bitcoin's price and SHIB's share of it, are guesses that far out. The supply math still holds. SHIB at $0.0001 in 2040 would need a market cap of about $59 billion, above its 2021 peak, and $0.001 would need about $589 billion, more than twice Ethereum's market cap today. Burns will not change that, since at the current pace they remove well under 0.01% of the supply a year.
Will Shiba Inu ever go up in price?
Shiba Inu has gone up sharply before, roughly 14 times in 14 weeks in 2021 and about four times in six weeks in early 2024, both times inside a broad Bitcoin rally. Our bull case has SHIB at several times today's price by 2029 or 2030. The catch is that its share of Bitcoin's market cap has fallen every year since 2021, so a rise needs that trend to turn.
How many Shiba Inu coins are there?
Shiba Inu launched with 1 quadrillion tokens. About 410.5 trillion have been burned, almost all of them in Vitalik Buterin's May 2021 burn, which leaves about 589.2 trillion in circulation per CoinGecko in November 2026. There is no mining and no unlock schedule, so that number changes very little from year to year.
Can Shiba Inu last 20 years?
Shiba Inu has a better survival record than most meme coins, with six years of trading, listings on most large exchanges and a place among the SEC's examples of digital commodities in a March 2026 release. Survival and value are different questions, though. Its ecosystem usage is thin, its trading volume has fallen sharply, and Pepe, a newer meme coin, now trades about six times as much.
Is Shiba Inu worth buying in 2026?
Shiba Inu in 2026 is a bet that meme coin attention returns and that SHIB, rather than a newer coin, captures it. The scenario math allows both a recovery and further decline. The bear column is why the size of a SHIB position matters as much as the entry price.
