$8.90. That is where AVAX trades in late October 2026, about 94% below its November 2021 peak of $144.96 and roughly 55% lower than a year ago. By the headline measures it was still a good year for Avalanche. US spot ETFs from VanEck, Grayscale and Bitwise launched, two Nasdaq-listed treasury companies built AVAX positions, US regulators named the token a digital commodity, and the C-Chain, Avalanche's main chain for apps and tokens, logged a record number of transactions, much of it automated, as it turned out. The price fell anyway, a little harder than Solana and Ether and about twice as hard as Bitcoin.
Most of that fall is the altcoin market. The part that belongs to AVAX alone is the gap between a busy network and a token that collects little from it, and that gap is what an honest forecast has to explain. The scenario ranges below are judgment calls, each checked against the market cap it implies (price times the tokens in circulation, a number that grows every year) and against how far this token has moved inside a single year. Treat them as bounds for thinking, not price targets.
AVAX price prediction at a glance
The short answer is a 2030 base case of $13 to $25, about 1.5 to 3 times today's price, a bull case of $45 to $70 if Avalanche's tokenization business starts paying the token, and a return to $100 only beyond even that.
| Year end | Bear | Base | Bull |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | $5.50 to $7.00 | $7.50 to $10.50 | $11.50 to $13.50 |
| 2027 | $4.50 to $6.50 | $9 to $14 | $18 to $25 |
| 2028 | $4 to $7 | $11 to $18 | $28 to $40 |
| 2029 | $4 to $6 | $12 to $22 | $35 to $55 |
| 2030 | Under $5 | $13 to $25 | $45 to $70 |
Each range is a year-end price on one path. Bull assumes the market and Avalanche's own catalysts both go right, base that AVAX moves with the sector, bear that both go wrong. The paths are not equally likely, and each year is explained below with the supply and market cap behind it.

Market data from the CoinGecko API, checked 25 October 2026, ETF figure as of 22 October per SoSoValue. You can follow the live AVAX price as these numbers move. Inside 2026 alone AVAX fell from almost $15 to under $6, nearly doubled to $11.60 by early October and gave back most of that gain. A 60% fall and a near doubling in one year are ordinary for this token, which is why the ranges are wide.
The catalysts arrived. The buyers mostly did not
The AVAX bull case long leaned on access, the idea that regulated products would bring institutional money. In 2026 the products arrived, all three built to stake part of their AVAX for network rewards. VanEck listed the first AVAX ETF on 26 January, Grayscale's staking fund began trading on Nasdaq on 12 March per its fund page, and Bitwise followed on the NYSE on 15 April with a fund that aims to stake about 70% of its AVAX. By 22 October the US spot AVAX funds had gathered cumulative net inflows of just $31.6 million, per SoSoValue's tracker. Net assets slipped from $61.5 million on 6 October to $51.4 million, about 1.3% of AVAX's market cap, and with no net inflow after 8 October that decline is simply the price falling. Our HBAR forecast found the same pattern for Hedera's ETF. Access was not the bottleneck this year.
The treasury companies, listed firms that raise money to buy and hold a token, tell a more complicated story. AVAX One, a Nasdaq-listed company formerly called AgriFORCE, reported holding 13.8 million AVAX in November 2025. Avalanche Treasury Co. (AVAT) listed on Nasdaq on 11 June 2026 through a SPAC merger holding about 15 million tokens, per CNBC. Taken together, those two disclosures put roughly 6.5% of today's circulating supply in two corporate wallets. Then in September AVAT sold 2.08 million AVAX to the Avalanche Foundation for $15 million to reduce debt, a private sale rather than one on the market, which leaves the pair nearer 6%. A treasury company is support while it buys and a potential seller when it needs cash.
The SEC's 17 March 2026 interpretive release, issued jointly with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), lists Avalanche among its examples of digital commodities. That removes the long-running risk that US regulators would treat AVAX as a security. Like the ETFs, it made AVAX easier to own without creating a reason to own it.
Does network activity turn into AVAX demand?
The data points in two directions. Nansen's Q2 2026 report counted a record 235.6 million C-Chain transactions in the quarter, $84.4 billion of stablecoin transfers and $1.65 billion of tokenized real world assets, with BlackRock's BUIDL fund alone at $402 million on Avalanche by 30 June. Institutional tokenization is real here and is the strongest part of the long-term case. Our ONDO forecast finds the same gap between a growing tokenization business and a falling token.
Fees tell a more mixed story. Every fee is paid in AVAX and burned, meaning permanently destroyed, so the burn is the one channel that ties transaction volume directly to the token's supply. Avalanche chose cheap blockspace, and Nansen shows the median C-Chain fee down 99.6% year over year to $0.000014 per transaction. That is good for users and leaves little to burn. C-Chain fees over the past twelve months came to roughly $2.85 million, per DefiLlama's Avalanche data, under a tenth of a percent of AVAX's market cap.
The record also needs a discount. Bitquery's on-chain investigation found that 95% of the addresses active on a typical day in Q2 were one farm, 1.19 million wallets funded by a single address and run by software. Regular wallets active on five or more days a month fell to 21,506 in August 2026, the lowest since 2023, then ticked up to 23,140 in September. So the puzzle is narrower than the headline. Part of the record was never real demand, and the real activity pays the token very little. Money is leaving the chain's apps too, with DeFi TVL (the value deposited in them) at about $556 million against $1.89 billion a year earlier, and stablecoin supply on Avalanche down to about $1.41 billion from $2.50 billion per DefiLlama's stablecoin tracker, both checked 25 October 2026.
Avalanche9000, the December 2024 upgrade, made the same trade on purpose. Per CoinDesk, it cut the C-Chain base fee from 25 to 1 nAVAX (a billionth of an AVAX). Validators, the computers that run each Avalanche L1 (a separate blockchain built on Avalanche's technology), used to need a 2,000 AVAX stake and now pay 1 to 10 AVAX a month instead. Launching a chain became far cheaper, and one of the token's built-in sources of demand shrank.
The supply side of the AVAX forecast
AVAX is capped at 720 million tokens, and per Avalanche's own tokenomics FAQ new tokens are minted continuously as staking rewards, at a rate that falls as supply approaches the cap. Fees on the X, P and C chains, and on L1s that use AVAX for gas, are burned.
Over the past year circulating supply rose from about 426.5 million to 443.9 million AVAX, per CoinGecko data checked 25 October 2026. That is roughly 17 million more AVAX in circulation, about 4% growth, worth around $155 million at today's price, against a fee burn worth about $2.85 million. Helicon, the September upgrade that let validators vote in a minimum gas price, roughly doubled the burn at first. Bitquery measured the median day at 1,791 AVAX in the week after the new floor took hold, up from 959, while bot traffic fell by more than half and people kept transacting at almost the same pace. Even at that peak a full year would burn about 650,000 AVAX, under 4% of the year's supply growth, and DefiLlama's daily fees put the median day since then closer to 1,000 AVAX. The gap is still wide, but Helicon shows that fee capture is a setting the network can change.
Most new AVAX goes to stakers as rewards, so only the share they sell needs a buyer, and the burn offsets a sliver of that. An idle holder, though, sees their slice of the network shrink by roughly 4% a year, a point we come back to below.
The Avalanche Foundation published a framework in July for what crypto calls value capture, ways to make on-chain activity create demand for AVAX itself, and presented it at its September summit, per Crypto Briefing. It is a research agenda, not a shipped mechanism. The sharpest rally of the year, from about $7.30 to $11.30 between 16 and 21 September, came in the days after that presentation and just before Helicon went live. Timing is not proof of cause, but it suggests the market is listening for exactly this. If the framework turns RWA and stablecoin volume into real AVAX demand, the bull rows get much more plausible. If it stays on slides, the supply arithmetic keeps winning.
The bull case, in its strongest form, runs like this. Avalanche has three staking US spot funds, a digital commodity classification and $1.65 billion of tokenized assets including BUIDL. Validators have already voted for higher fees, the Foundation has a published value capture plan, and supply is hard capped with a mint rate that slows on the way. The token nearly doubled between June and early October. If part of that plan ships into a risk-on market, the bull rows below are what it looks like.
AVAX price prediction 2026 (the remaining months)
The setup is a token at its 30-day low, ETF flows stalled, and supply growth that continues regardless. The implied market caps below assume about 447 million AVAX in circulation by year end.
| Scenario | Year-end 2026 price | Implied market cap | Driver |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $11.50 to $13.50 | ~$5.1B to $6.0B | Altcoin rebound, ETF inflows restart, a move back above the early October high near $11.60 |
| Base | $7.50 to $10.50 | ~$3.4B to $4.7B | Range trading, tokenization headlines without fee follow-through |
| Bear | $5.50 to $7.00 | ~$2.5B to $3.1B | Market weakness, retest of the June low near $5.89 |
AVAX price prediction 2027
From here the supply figures assume a straight line of about 17.4 million new AVAX a year, the past year's pace, which if anything overstates supply because the mint rate falls as the cap nears. That gives roughly 465 million by the end of 2027.
| Scenario | Year-end 2027 price | Implied market cap | Driver |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $18 to $25 | ~$8.4B to $11.6B | Cycle turns up, the Foundation's value capture work ships, RWA fees start to register |
| Base | $9 to $14 | ~$4.2B to $6.5B | AVAX moves with the sector while supply keeps growing |
| Bear | $4.50 to $6.50 | ~$2.1B to $3.0B | New supply outpaces demand, treasury companies turn net sellers |
AVAX price prediction 2028
Roughly 482 million AVAX in circulation by the end of 2028.
| Scenario | Year-end 2028 price | Implied market cap | Driver |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $28 to $40 | ~$13.5B to $19.3B | Full risk-on cycle, Avalanche established as a leading institutional settlement chain |
| Base | $11 to $18 | ~$5.3B to $8.7B | Solid niche, partial recovery, demand roughly matching new supply |
| Bear | $4 to $7 | ~$1.9B to $3.4B | Capital concentrates in majors, L1 activity migrates elsewhere |
AVAX price prediction 2029
Roughly 499 million AVAX in circulation by the end of 2029, by which point the value capture work should either show up in the burn data or not.
| Scenario | Year-end 2029 price | Implied market cap | Driver |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $35 to $55 | ~$17.5B to $27.4B | Tokenized funds and stablecoins on Avalanche paying fees that show up in the burn, strong cycle |
| Base | $12 to $22 | ~$6.0B to $11.0B | Steady institutional use, the mint rate slowing as supply nears the cap |
| Bear | $4 to $6 | ~$2.0B to $3.0B | Post-cycle drawdown, activity without fee demand |
AVAX price prediction 2030
Start with the arithmetic of a new all-time high. With supply around 517 million by 2030, $144.96 implies a market cap near $75 billion, more than Solana's entire $59.9 billion valuation today per CoinGecko. Even $100 implies about $52 billion, and the bull top of $70 already means about $36 billion, roughly 60% of Solana today. Numbers like these need Avalanche to become one of the two or three chains that matter most for on-chain finance, not just a busy one.
| Scenario | Year-end 2030 price | Implied market cap | Driver |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $45 to $70 | ~$23B to $36B | Value capture works, tokenized assets settle at scale and pay real fees, strong cycle |
| Base | $13 to $25 | ~$6.7B to $12.9B | Established but not dominant, price follows the sector |
| Bear | Under $5 | Under ~$2.6B | Usage never translates into token demand, new supply keeps diluting holders |
What the AVAX forecast hinges on
Three questions decide which scenario plays out. First, does tokenization activity on Avalanche start paying fees large enough to matter in AVAX terms? Second, do the ETFs and treasury companies become steady buyers again, or does the September AVAT sale turn out to be the first of several? Third, does the next cycle deliver the risk appetite that every altcoin bull scenario quietly assumes? The signals to watch are a dated governance proposal for value capture, US spot AVAX fund assets growing again, and daily burn closing the gap on new supply. The tables are a map of outcomes, not targets, and anyone promising AVAX at $500 is entertainment. This is market analysis, not financial advice.
Our Litecoin forecast builds its ranges a different way, from a Bitcoin price and an LTC/BTC ratio, and is a useful cross-check.
Earning on AVAX while you hold it
An idle AVAX position loses about 4% of its share of the network each year. The default answer is staking on the Avalanche network itself, since new tokens go mostly to stakers and a staked position collects that supply growth instead of being diluted by it. Grayscale's staking fund reports gross rewards of 5.35% as of 23 October 2026, or 4.10% after the fund's cut, a fair guide to what staking pays. Delegating (staking through a validator someone else runs) takes at least 25 AVAX, locked for two weeks to a year that you choose up front, per the staking docs. Our staking platforms guide compares the services that stake for you.
As of October 2026, EarnPark publishes up to 8% APY on AVAX, which the app splits across two strategies that change your position in different ways. AVAX Alpha Vault sets the top of the range and carries the Market-Exposed Risk Label, EarnPark's tag for strategies whose result moves with the market. About half the deposit sits in stablecoins and the mix rebalances, selling some AVAX into a rally and buying into a fall, per EarnPark's own strategy explainer. That cushions the bear rows and trims the bull rows, so measured in AVAX the balance can end lower after a strong rally, yield included. The 8% is an expected rate, not a promise. It pays monthly, and withdrawals are paid on a monthly settlement date, so the wait can run to about a month. A new position is frozen for its first 24 hours, and a request cannot be cancelled in the 48 hours before each settlement.
AVAX Liquidity Providing pays 5% APY, a little below the staking figure above, with the On-Chain Risk Label and daily payouts. Per its strategy description in EarnPark's help centre, it can lend the AVAX, borrow against it to redeploy, or stake it, and it counts the result in AVAX. Leaving starts a 7 day bonding period with no yield, instead of a lock fixed up front. Both are custodial, so EarnPark controls the AVAX while it is deployed, unlike delegating from your own wallet. Both rates are what any account gets holding zero PARK, EarnPark's own token, per our rate policy. Read the risk statement before choosing either.
None of this is a reason to buy AVAX. It is for someone who already plans to hold through 2030 and wants part of that position to earn meanwhile. The AVAX calculator shows what the published rate means for a given balance, and Start earning shows both strategies with their Risk Labels and withdrawal terms before you deposit.
FAQ
Can AVAX reach $100 again?
AVAX can reach $100 again, but at the roughly 517 million AVAX assumed in circulation by 2030 that needs a market cap of about $52 billion, around thirteen times its late October 2026 value and close to Solana's entire valuation today. That is above even this forecast's 2030 bull case of $45 to $70, so it would take Avalanche winning a leading share of tokenized finance and turning that activity into fee demand for AVAX.
What will AVAX be worth in 2030?
Scenarios in this forecast put AVAX at the end of 2030 anywhere from under $5 to about $70, with a base case of $13 to $25 against about $8.90 in late October 2026. Where it lands depends on whether real world asset and stablecoin activity starts generating real AVAX demand. These are bounds, not a forecast of one price.
Is AVAX expected to go up?
AVAX rises in this forecast's base case, to $13 to $25 by the end of 2030, but that is a scenario, not a promise. The token fell about 55% in the year to October 2026 despite new US spot ETFs, so a sustained rise likely needs an altcoin recovery plus evidence that network usage creates demand for AVAX.
Is AVAX better than Solana?
AVAX versus Solana is mostly a question of scale today. Solana's market cap is roughly fifteen times larger, about $59.9 billion against $3.95 billion per CoinGecko, and its DeFi TVL, the money deposited in its apps, is about ten times bigger per DefiLlama, both checked 25 October 2026. Avalanche's distinct case rests on Avalanche L1s, custom blockchains that businesses launch on its technology, and on institutional tokenization.
Is Avalanche (AVAX) a good investment?
Avalanche (AVAX) as an investment is a bet, at a price about 94% below its 2021 peak, that institutional tokenization will eventually create demand for the token. The network is proven, and the regulatory picture is clearer since the SEC and CFTC named AVAX a digital commodity. The token's link to that usage is still unproven, which is why this forecast's 2030 range runs from under $5 to about $70.
