Bybit Earn, OKX Earn and KuCoin Earn are the yield shelves of three large global crypto exchanges, and each one leads with an eye-catching APR. EarnPark leads with a number too, up to 15% APY on its USDT page as of October 2026. EarnPark is not a replacement for an exchange account. It is another place to compare for the part of your holdings you want to put to work, with different custody and strategy risks. Comparing those headline figures side by side tells you very little. Some of the highest advertised rates and promotions on each exchange depend on eligibility, balance tiers or account status, and on EarnPark the top figure is the top of a range you reach by picking the riskiest strategy. What actually separates them is what each ceiling asks of you first, whether that is a small balance tier, a brand new account, a trading volume threshold or a stake in the exchange's own token.
This comparison reads each program against the exchange's own published terms as of October 2026. It deliberately quotes almost no exchange rates, because flexible rates float daily and promotional tiers come and go, so any figure printed here would be stale within a week. The banners also use different units. The exchanges mostly quote APR, the yearly rate before compounding, while EarnPark quotes APY, which includes compounding, and even after converting one into the other the figures are not directly comparable, because they describe different products with different conditions. The structure behind the rates moves much more slowly, and the structure is what decides the return you actually get. If you are weighing these against yield platforms rather than other exchanges, our roundup of earning platforms covers the wider field.
Exchange earn programs at a glance
The first table covers what each program offers and what moves you toward its headline rate. Everything in the exchange rows comes from that exchange's own product pages, help centre or documentation, read in October 2026.
| Main earn products | What lifts you toward the headline | Where flexible yield comes from | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bybit Earn | Easy Earn (flexible and fixed), On-Chain Earn, Advanced Earn structured products, Launchpool | Tiered flexible APR, APR Booster vouchers that add a temporary bonus rate, larger Launchpool caps for VIP and new users, MNT staking pools | Platform revenue, per its own product comparison |
| OKX Earn | Simple Earn (flexible and fixed), On-chain Earn, Dual Investment, BTC Yield+, Flash Earn, Jumpstart | Flash Earn limits tiered by net assets or trading volume, an Auto Earn+ product marked VIP exclusive on its US site, OKB or BTC staking for Jumpstart | Lending to margin traders, per its own API documentation |
| KuCoin Earn | Savings, Staking, ETH Staking, Promotions, Hold to Earn, structured products, GemPool | Products reserved for new users, KCS Loyalty levels that add extra rewards on some fixed products | Varies by product |
| EarnPark | Per-strategy yield, each strategy shown with a risk label and withdrawal terms | Published rates do not require PARK or an account tier. The top of the range comes from a Market-Exposed strategy with monthly settlement | Market making, DeFi liquidity and other strategies named on each asset page |
The second table covers safety and access, where the differences between the three exchanges are larger than their rates.
| Proof of reserves | US residents | Risk and disclosure note | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bybit | Claims 1:1 reserves, Merkle tree for balances, wallet ownership shown by self transfer, audit scope dated 23 September 2026 | Excluded, per its own terms | About $1.5 billion stolen in February 2025, attributed by the FBI to North Korea, after which CoinDesk reported 1:1 backing restored within days |
| OKX | Monthly reports using zk-STARK and a Merkle tree, 48th report as of October 2026 | Availability depends on your account's registered jurisdiction, so check the Earn products shown for your account | Guilty plea to a US federal charge in February 2025, more than $504 million in penalties |
| KuCoin | Claims 1:1 reserves, Merkle tree, third-party verification, snapshot dated 30 September 2026 | Restricted, per its own terms | US guilty plea in January 2025, CFTC consent order in March 2026, about $281 million hacked in 2020 |
| EarnPark | Monthly, attested by the EarnPark group itself, with wallet addresses and exchange statements published | Not covered here, check the restricted regions list in the help centre | Reserves are self-attested, with 76% on exchange accounts per the 10 October 2026 report |
How exchange earn rates are really built
All three exchanges use the same few levers to turn a modest average rate into a large advertised one. Once you can name the levers, the banners get much easier to read.
The first lever is the balance tier. Per Bybit's own guide to Easy Earn, flexible products may use tiered APRs, so different portions of the same investment earn different rates, with tiers and limits that vary by asset and appear on the order page before you invest. The banner shows the best tier, so what you actually earn depends on how the tiers are cut and how much you deposit, and on a larger deposit the effective rate usually sits below the banner.
The second lever is the new account. KuCoin's own Earn announcements state that only new users are eligible for its products exclusive to new users, and that event products are allocated first come, first served. A rate offered only to fresh accounts tells an existing customer nothing about what they will earn.
The third lever is size and activity. OKX's own Flash Earn FAQ sets how much you can commit to its Stake to Earn campaigns by a tier based on your 30 day average daily net assets or your 30 day spot or futures trading volume, and its US Earn page marks an Auto Earn+ product as VIP exclusive. Bybit's Launchpool lists higher staking caps for VIP users and new users.
The fourth lever is the exchange's own token, and it works in two different ways. At KuCoin it touches savings directly. Its KCS benefits page ties a loyalty program to staking KCS, with perks that include extra KCS rewards on some fixed Earn products and a staking bonus for KuCoin Earn, and KuCoin's own blog put the top loyalty level at up to two extra percentage points on fixed products as of April 2026. At OKX and Bybit the token is an entry requirement for token launch programs rather than a savings boost. OKX's Jumpstart accepts only staked OKB or BTC, and Bybit's Launchpool runs pools where you stake its MNT token to earn new project tokens. Those programs sit apart from the savings rates.
These conditions are disclosed, but they are easy to miss when comparing banner rates. We found the same pattern of floating base rates and promotional bonus tiers in our Binance Earn review, and the same gap between banner and outcome in our comparison of USDC rates. The practical habit is to find the tier table and the eligibility line before you look at the APR. The habit applies to us too. EarnPark has also run time-limited deposit promotions, such as a past new deposit bonus in October 2025 that added 16 percentage points to an 11% base rate on the USDT DeFi strategy, for qualifying new deposits during their first seven days only. The relevant question for any promotion is whether it adds to the published base rate or replaces it.
Bybit Earn
Bybit Earn splits into three shelves, per Bybit's own product comparison. Easy Earn holds flexible and fixed term savings, On-Chain Earn handles staking, and Advanced Earn covers structured products such as Dual Asset, Double-Win, Discount Buy and Smart Leverage, along with leveraged liquidity mining and a private wealth service for large clients. Launchpool sits alongside, letting you stake tokens to farm new listings.
The detail worth reading closely is where the yield comes from. Bybit's own comparison says flexible Easy Earn yields "are generated from platform revenue" with no on-chain activity involved, while fixed term savings come either from Bybit's lending activity or from third-party trading strategies. So the flexible rate is funded by the exchange rather than earned from a visible market source, which helps explain how it can carry bonus tiers and APR Booster vouchers, rewards that add a set APR for a limited period and are handed out through Bybit's rewards hub.
On reserves, Bybit claims a 1:1 reserve on user assets. It proves ownership of its wallets with a self transfer method, moving a set amount between its own published addresses at a stated time, and uses a Merkle tree for user balances, which is a way for each user to check that their own balance was included in the published total. Showing control of wallets proves what the exchange held at that moment, which is not the same as proving every liability is covered. The latest audit scope on its proof of reserves page was dated 23 September 2026. Our reserves explainer covers what this kind of report can and cannot prove.
The record a depositor should know is the hack. On or about 21 February 2025, attackers took roughly $1.5 billion in virtual assets from Bybit, and the FBI attributed the theft to North Korean hackers. Within days, CoinDesk reported, Bybit had closed the gap in its ether reserves and was back to 1:1 backing of client assets, using loans, large deposits and ether purchases. The episode cuts both ways. It showed the business could absorb a loss of that size, and it showed that exchange wallet controls and transaction approvals can fail, even at a large exchange. It also set the scale later incidents get measured against, as in our look at April 2026 hacks.
Bybit lists the United States among its excluded jurisdictions in its own terms, alongside the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore and Canada.
OKX Earn
OKX Earn covers Simple Earn in flexible and fixed forms, On-chain Earn for staking assets such as ETH and SOL, Dual Investment, BTC Yield+, Flash Earn campaigns and Jumpstart token launches, per its own Earn pages.
OKX documents the mechanics of its flexible savings product in unusual detail. Per OKX's own API documentation, Simple Earn flexible "is earned by lending to leveraged trading users in the lending market", and users can set a minimum annual lending rate on their position. The rate is therefore a market rate that rises and falls with demand to borrow on margin. That is a transparent design, and it also means the rate tends to drop when traders stop borrowing.
The gating at OKX lives in the other products. Flash Earn allocations depend on the asset and volume tier described above, Auto Earn+ is marked VIP exclusive on its US Earn page, and Jumpstart, its new token program, takes only OKB or BTC as stake.
OKX publishes monthly reserve reports that use a zk-STARK proof, a zero knowledge method that checks totals without exposing individual balances, together with a Merkle tree. Per its own proof of reserves page the reports cover 22 coins, and the page counted its 48th report as of October 2026.
On the record side, OKX's operating entity pleaded guilty in February 2025 to operating an unlicensed money transmitting business and agreed to pay more than $504 million in penalties. Its help pages carry the line that not all products are available in all jurisdictions, so availability depends on your account's registered jurisdiction, and the Earn products shown for your account are the ones to check.
KuCoin Earn
KuCoin's own help centre sorts Earn into what it calls low risk products, including Savings, Staking, Promotions and ETH Staking, and higher yield products that are mainly futures linked, including Shark Fin, Dual Investment and Snowball. Hold to Earn, launched in February 2026, pays rewards on eligible balances held across its accounts, trading balances included, and GemPool lets you lock tokens for new listing rewards.
KuCoin links its savings rewards, not only its launch programs, to its own token. Its KCS Loyalty Program sets your level by how much KCS you stake relative to your total account assets, per KuCoin's own blog, and higher levels add extra rewards on fixed Earn products, a staking bonus for KuCoin Earn and a GemPool lock up bonus, per its KCS benefits page. Combined with products reserved for new users, that means two depositors holding the same USDT can see different best rates depending on account age and KCS holdings.
KuCoin states that it maintains 1:1 reserves for all user assets, verified by an independent third party, and uses a Merkle tree so users can check their own balance. Its latest snapshot was dated 30 September 2026. Like every exchange report, it is a point in time check, and assets on any exchange sit in custodial accounts rather than in your own wallet.
KuCoin's US record runs to two cases. Its operator Peken Global pleaded guilty in January 2025 to operating an unlicensed money transmitting business, agreed to pay more than $297 million and committed to exit the US market for at least two years. In March 2026 a federal court entered a consent order barring it from letting US participants trade on the exchange without registering as a foreign board of trade. KuCoin's own terms list the United States among its restricted locations. Separately, the exchange lost roughly $281 million in a 2020 hack, after which its chief executive said customer funds would be covered by an insurance fund.
Where EarnPark fits
EarnPark is a yield platform rather than an exchange, with the rate, a risk label and the withdrawal terms published next to each strategy. The strategies are trading and on-chain positions. Market making places buy and sell orders on an exchange order book and earns the spread between them, and liquidity providing supplies assets to trading pools in return for a share of the fees, as our page on where yield comes from explains. Its token gating page makes the claim plainly, the advertised rate applies from the first deposit, with no tier to climb and no check of your PARK balance. That is the direct contrast with the four levers above. The USDT page shows up to 15% APY as of October 2026, available to a user holding zero PARK, EarnPark's own token, and other assets such as BTC carry their own ranges and strategy mix. PARK is live and trades on a DEX, and it is positioned as optional upside for holders rather than the route to the published number.
The open floor is about token gating, not withdrawal speed, and the two are easy to confuse. EarnPark labels each strategy by its exposure. Market-Exposed means material exposure to the direction of the market, Market-Neutral means reduced exposure to it, and every label still carries risk. On the USDT page the top of the range comes from Alpha Vault, a Market-Exposed strategy that pays out and processes withdrawals monthly. Maker Core, labelled Market-Neutral, has a bonding period of up to 30 days, meaning your funds stay locked in the strategy for a set time after you request a withdrawal. The DeFi and Liquidity Providing strategies let you request a withdrawal at any time, at rates below the top of the range, and the USDT page puts withdrawal processing at 24 to 48 hours. Choosing the headline means choosing the riskiest strategy and a monthly exit. That is a real trade, just a visible one.
On transparency, EarnPark publishes a monthly proof of reserves report. The 10 October 2026 snapshot showed a 103.8% reserve ratio, with 76% of reserves on exchange accounts at Binance, 15% in on-chain strategy wallets, 10% in other on-chain wallets and 0% in cold storage. The percentages are rounded in the report, which is why they add up to slightly more than 100. The report is attested by the EarnPark group itself rather than by an independent auditor, though the wallet addresses and Binance account statements are published for anyone to check. Fireblocks custody covers a significant portion of EarnPark's crypto holdings, not all of them.
One disclosure belongs here rather than in fine print. EarnPark states that it runs market making on Binance, OKX and Bybit. That is a commercial relationship with two of the exchanges compared here, and readers should weigh it. Product mechanics here are checked against each exchange's published terms, and legal cases against US government records. Platform risks, including custody and counterparty risk, are set out in our risk statement.
Who each program is best for
Bybit Earn suits active Bybit traders outside its excluded jurisdictions who want idle balances working without leaving the exchange, and who will read the tier table and use booster vouchers when they arrive. Its structured shelf is broad, which is useful for experienced traders and a trap for anyone who mistakes Dual Asset for a savings product.
OKX Earn suits users who want the rate mechanics spelled out. Flexible savings tracks a real lending market, the reserve reporting is detailed and monthly, and the staking shelf is simple to use. It rewards larger and more active accounts through Flash Earn tiers and VIP products.
KuCoin Earn suits users who already hold KCS, or are happy to, since the loyalty levels are where its better fixed terms sit, and new users who can take the new account products while they last. It is a weaker fit for anyone who wants one rate that holds for every customer, and it is closed to US residents.
EarnPark suits savers who want the published rate to be the rate, without buying PARK or climbing a tier first, and who are comfortable picking a strategy by its risk label and withdrawal terms, knowing that the higher rates come with more strategy risk or longer withdrawal terms. It is the wrong place for someone who wants a trading venue or instant exit on every strategy.
Verdict on exchange earn programs vs EarnPark
Bybit, OKX and KuCoin all run established earn programs with disclosed terms, and if your coins already live on one of them, its flexible savings is a reasonable home for idle balances. Treat the banner as the best case for a particular kind of account, then find the tier table and work out what your own balance would earn. Bybit funds flexible yield from its own revenue, OKX passes through a margin lending market, and KuCoin saves its better terms for new accounts and KCS stakers.
If you would rather start from a number that does not depend on account age, trading volume or a token balance, EarnPark publishes per-strategy rates that any depositor gets with zero PARK, with the risk label and withdrawal terms shown alongside each one. Compare the current terms in the app, and if they fit, you can start earning there.
FAQ
Is Bybit Earn safe? Bybit Earn carries the custody risk of any exchange earn product, since your assets sit with Bybit rather than in your own wallet and are not insured deposits. Bybit publishes proof of reserves and, per CoinDesk, was back to 1:1 backing of client assets within days of its February 2025 hack, while the structured products in Advanced Earn add market risk on top of custody risk.
Which pays more, Bybit Earn, OKX Earn or KuCoin Earn? Which exchange earn program pays more changes week to week, because all three float their flexible rates and rotate promotional tiers. The better test is your effective rate after balance tiers, new user eligibility and token requirements, which each exchange shows on the order page before you subscribe.
Can US residents use Bybit Earn, OKX Earn or KuCoin Earn? US residents cannot use Bybit or KuCoin, which list the United States as excluded or restricted in their own terms, and KuCoin agreed in its 2025 guilty plea to exit the US market for at least two years. OKX states that not all of its products are available in all jurisdictions, so the Earn tab in a verified account is the practical test.
What is a tiered APR on an exchange earn product? A tiered APR on an exchange earn product is a rate structure where different portions of the same deposit earn different rates. The advertised top rate applies to one tier rather than the whole balance, so your effective return depends on how the tiers are structured and how much you deposit, and on a large deposit it is usually below the banner.
Do you need EarnPark's PARK token to get the advertised rate? You do not need PARK to get EarnPark's advertised rate. The published rate on each asset page is available to a user holding zero PARK, with the token positioned as optional upside for holders, although the top of each range comes from the riskiest strategy and carries that strategy's withdrawal terms.
